Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Arusha → Tarangire NP → Lake Manyara NP
Pick up from the hotel in Arusha. Drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 1 to 2 hours’ drive)
Enter Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen on the Tarangire River. The park is home to giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and occasional cheetahs or leopards. With over 500 bird species, it’s a birdwatcher’s paradise, looking for yellow-collared lovebirds and lilac-breasted rollers. Scenic game drives pass through baobab-studded landscapes and vast savannahs.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
Lake Manyara NP → Ngorongoro Crater
Early breakfast at the hotel
Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approx. 20min drive). Arrive at the park, complete entry formalities, and stop at the crater rim for stunning panoramic views and photo opportunities before continuing to the descent point
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a thrilling game drive. This area is home to a dense wildlife population, including; lion, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. With over 400 bird species, you may also spot flamingos at Lake Magadi during the wet season.
Enjoy lunch at a scenic picnic spot within the crater.
Continue your exploration of the crater, searching for more wildlife and soaking in the spectacular scenery.

Day 4: Lake Manyara NP to Arusha

Enjoy breakfast at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge.
Depart from the lodge and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, complete entry formalities and begin your exciting game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes.
Enjoy a thrilling game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its lush groundwater forests, large troops of baboons, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and diverse birdlife. Keep an eye out for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions and flamingos, depending on the season and wildlife movements.
Enjoy a delicious lunch.
Visit a traditional Maasai Boma for an authentic cultural experience. Learn about Maasai traditions, traditional homes, colourful attire, and daily life. Enjoy an opportunity to experience traditional songs and dances while discovering the rich cultural heritage of the Maasai community.
