DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 1 – Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park (Selous)

Depart Dar es Salaam at 07:00 AM for a scenic five-hour drive to Nyerere National Park, formerly Selous Game Reserve. Arrive around midday and enjoy lunch at your lodge before heading out for your first game drive across this vast and lightly explored wilderness.

In the late afternoon, continue with a boat safari along the Rufiji River — a highlight of any Selous safari. Cruise past pods of hippos, crocodiles basking on riverbanks and a rich variety of birdlife as the sun sets over the water.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day exploration of Nyerere National Park. This is one of Africa’s largest protected areas, offering a true off-the-beaten-path safari experience.
